the brief for this project was to create a multi-use space, deep enough for a person to comfortably lounge and to serve as an extension to the living room, offering additional seating when needed.
a local engineering company was used to complete a set of calculations and drawings for the steel frame. the frame has been fully insulated, plaster boarded in the ceiling and down the left side. the seat and wall to the right is finished in walnut which is themed throughout the room.
the ceiling features two seamlessly recessed and plastered in spotlights, which beautifully lights the area when needed.
